  1. Comparing the IMX Pro 890-4 with the equivalent NRX and Asquith, the main difference is weight. This is a great casting fly rod. It casts with power from 30 feet to 80 feet, fully capable of long saltwater shots in the wind. Many anglers will choose the IMX Pro 890-4 for salmon, pike, large trout, bass and other aggressive freshwater scenarios. The rod will definitely handle a wide range of floating and sinking lines, so don’t hesitate based upon the perception that a mid-priced 8-weight must be less versatile than a high end rod.
