The 2019 Ross Animas has adopted the sleek lines of the modern Ross Reels family, shedding bulk and adding features such as a larger diameter spool, phenolic handle and trouble-free spool release. The biggest improvement is clearly in weight reduction, where new models drop up to 30% from their predecessors. The new Animas may be paired with any cutting-edge lightweight rod. Aesthetically, the new Animas is both bold and classic, the Ross machining prowess on full display accented by striking touches, such as the Colorado Rocky Mountains profile etched into the frame above the drag knob. An improved composite drag and lower profile, high grip drag knob complete this highly-evolved successor to the original Animas. We love the way they look, feel and fish.
