The best backing on the market, period.  After extensive research and testing, Hatch has developed their Pure backing.  Using eight braid polyethelyne technology, they have produced backing that is the same diameter as 30# Gel Spun, but over twice the breaking strength at 68#.  And unlike Gel Spun backing, Pure backing won’t flatten and cut your fingers when a hot fish takes off.  Not only is Hatch Pure thinner and stronger than most any other backing, it has greater abrasion resistance and is UV resistant.  If you’d like a custom length of backing, just let us know.
