Nautilus GTX Reels

Nautilus designed the GTX reel to answer all questions about big game fly fishing, from tarpon to tuna and billfish. While light enough (8.7 oz) to hang comfortably on any tarpon rod, the GTX has the braking power (over 25 lbs) and capacity (500 yards of 60 lbs braid) to pursue literally any saltwater gamefish. The tall, narrow spool is a marvel of engineering for rapid line retrieve and overall operating efficiency. The drag is a completely unique design incorporating 3 cork and carbon fiber surfaces and two free floating carbon fiber surfaces that are topped with a Kevlar/carbon fiber hybrid precision plate that ensures even pressure at all points of the drag surfaces. The result is a drag with enormous stopping power and magnificent smoothness. The GTX GripTorq drag knob is 1.9″ in diameter, machined on 4 axes to optimize weight, strength and grip.
