  1. The Tibor Everglades is easily one of my favorite saltwater reels out there. The full frame is exactly what I picture in my mind when someone talks about a fly reel. It is such a classic design that has been proven for several years. The cork drag system is bulletproof and maintenance is very easy. This reel can be used on either a 7wt, 8wt, or 9wt and with the various color options, you can pick the perfect reel for your rod. The Royal Blue looks particularly good on rods with blue wraps and trim. The reel itself is slightly heavier than some other reels out there, but it is a reel of substance that you can feel in your hand. I’ve never been a huge believer in “lighter is better”, so I tend to prefer a reel that not only balances the rod well, but also feels like a well made piece of equipment. I can’t say enough great things about these reels. 10 out of 10 in my book.
