Reviews

  1. I absolutely love this rod tube. You can fit several rods in the tube without worrying of breaking them. I’ve taken this tube on several trips and it is a great addition to my luggage system. The generous interior volume allows for carrying up to 6 freshwater 9′ 4 piece rods or 4 9′ 4 piece saltwater rods. The tube itself weights quite a bit less than bringing several aluminum rod tubes. If you’re flying to a destination that has strict weight restrictions this is a great way to help you cut down on weight while still ensuring the safety of your beloved fly rods. Like many anglers, I like to carry my rods on the plane with me on my way to a trip and prefer to check them on the return flight to simplify airport travel. This tube conveniently fits wonderfully in an overhead bin, and in the bottom of the Fishpond Stormshadow Large Rolling Duffel for the return flight home. With the addition of the padded shoulder strap, this is a must have for fly fishing travel enthusiasts.
