Product Description

Hatch Nipper 3
Color:  blue

New Shape – Now featuring a new ergonomic shape, crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum, protected with type II Anodize, and finished with a misted texture for ideal grip. Lends to a more natural feel and precise control in hand. Trim up those delicate 7x and heavier fluorocarbon tag ends with confidence.

New Spring – We have designed a torsion spring specifically made for our application. This 302 stainless steel spring features a compact single wrap design to exert rotary force. We know what you’re thinking…What does this mean? It’s badass and drastically improved the life expectancy over previous models.

Cutters – Our tungsten carbide cutters have been and always will be the best on the market. We utilized decades of machining experience to create our custom cutting surfaces with an emphasis on abrasion resistance and reliable cuts through mono and fluorocarbon materials. The design has held up and proven itself since the original nippers were launched in 2016.

The Nipper 3 also features a needle post sized for cleaning eyelets from your even your smallest flies.

Every Hatch Nipper 3 comes with custom Hatch lanyard.

Reviews

  1. The best fly fishing thing I never knew I needed or wanted. I have been using these for years now, since the first generation of the Hatch nipper, and if I lost them I would have to replace them right away. I have become so accustomed to how they cut, the weight of them around neck and the fact that they’re always in the exact same place, that I have a hard time fishing without them. Once you try a pair of high end nippers, and figure out how to keep them handy and found, I promise you will not regret it. My final justification, is think about how many times you have to use your nippers just to rig a dry dropper rig. Your nippers are indispensable, you use them constantly, why not have something that makes you smile when you’re doing the tedious work.
