Note on line weights:  Bauer SLT reels are designed to fish high in their line range.  We recommend this reel for 9 & 10-weight saltwater rods, Spey rods and single hand steelhead/salmon rods over 9′ in length.  At 10.37 oz, however, it’s a heavy reel on 9′ 7 & 8-weight saltwater rods.  Please ask us for rod pairing/balance suggestions!
