   This is a really nice little rod, although fast action, which I generally don’t prefer for “creeks,” per se. Light in hand with crisp precision, the IMX Pro Creek 379-4 is a pleasing rod to fish up to about 40 feet. I cast it with both a Rio Creek line and Rio Gold. It throws much prettier loops with the Gold, but flexes deeper with the Creek, which makes sense because the Creek line’s head is a full line weight heavy. I fundamentally liked it with both lines, but would have to recommend the creek line for anglers fishing in a tributary environment. I would characterize this rod as an all-purpose light line fly rod rather than a specialty creek rod.

   Awesome fly rod,great for those small streams and creeks. The creek lines work the best with this rod. Super durable
