Here’s a rod that raised my eyebrows. This shorty 8 weight is purpose-built for fishing streamers and delivered as such. It’s not a heavy rod by any means, but I felt the weight of the blank extend further out away from the grip than I would have expected. The result was a confidence inspiring rod. When tasked with chucking meat at an 8 weight level, confidence is something I’d be looking for. Loved this one.
